The log cabins consist of two-twin bedrooms en-suite with a spacious open plan kitchen and living room. There are two double futon settees in the living room for extra guests if required. All are centrally heated and are equipped with a TV and microwave. The log cabins are set in 150 acres in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area consists of 20 acres of woods, fishing lakes, 18 holes and a 9-hole golf course, where the River Deben meanders its way through the countryside. Despite being so close to London this county is very rural and until very recently rather inaccessible, this has helped preserve the lovely rural qualities and the tiny villages and hamlets that spread out across a spiders web of barely chartered byroads and country lanes. These beautiful villages are one of the great attractions for visitors to Suffolk, often beautifully preserved in all their Medieval splendour and many containing a rich history of the early pilgrims to America, in this tiny hamlet of Edwardstone the first future Govenor of Massachusetts set off to America. The grove cottages, which were formerly dairies, bakery’s and two farm workers cottages are built in a Monastic style ‘double quadrangle’, the buildings all date back to the early 17 hundreds, when they serviced a long lost Mansion House. Toad Hall (sleeps 10) is a spacious grade II listed timber framed house, complete with inglenook fireplace and a wealth of exposed timbers in its interior. It is well equipped and sleeps 10 comfortably. Set in two acres of garden in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, it is within two hours drive from London, near the Heritage Coast and the ancient town of Woodbridge on the River Deben with its restaurants, pubs and antique shops.
