Whitstable
on the Thames Estuary, is a traditional seaside resort with a shingle beach.
A couple of kilometres of land jut out into the sea at low tide that visitors
can walk out on. It is long famous for its oysters and seafood. There is a local
museum and art gallery, gardens and crenellated castle-like building. Whitstable
is popular with daytrippers enjoying the sea food and sea air.
