Norfolk Old School Cottage

Old School Cottage is a brick and flint 18thC cottage with a wealth of beams and other period features. The cottage is warm and welcoming, with plenty of space and home comforts.  The cottage adjoins at one corner the owners´ house and has its own private enclosed south-facing `cottage´ garden with patio and garden furniture. There is off-road parking for 2 cars. The accommodation has oil-fired central-heating and comprises: Sitting Room (with wood-burning stove), Dining Hall, Kitchen, Bathroom/WC (with shower over bath), Double Bedroom (with king-size bed) - overlooking the pretty garden - and connecting door to Twin Bedroom: each bedroom can be accessed by separate staircases. Old School Cottage is equipped with washing machine, tumble drier, electric cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, radio/CD player, colour TV, video recorder and DVD. There is a large stock of up-to-date tourist brochures books, games and videos. No charge is made for bed linen (duvets), towels (inc. tea towels), central heating, hot water or electricity. This is a lovely conversion of an 18th Century barn set in about 3 acres in an idyllic, peaceful part of the countryside just above the Waveney Valley. Set at the end of a private lane. Recent visitors have separately said that the location is 'fantastic' and the cottage 'beautiful'. We are surrounded by fields and from the rear there is a gate that leads to the endless complex of footpaths and bridleways for which the area is renowned (to allow visitors to take advantage of the countryside we have provided a picnic hamper and freezer box). It is a haven for lovers of the countryside, walkers and people who enjoy the tranquillity it has to offer. Yet it is only a few miles away from a wealth of interesting towns, villages and access to the Norfolk Broads, all with something to offer. A one bedroom country cottage barn conversion in a beautiful setting of 3 acres on the north Suffolk and Norfolk borders. Yew Tree Barn can sleep 2 people or 2 + child of up to 10. Garden with BBQ. Lots of walks from the door. It is conveniently situated for the market towns of Harleston 4 miles, Diss 12 miles, Bungay 7 miles, Beccles which leads into the Norfolk Broads 12 miles, Halesworth 7 miles and Dunwich/ Southwold (the coast) some 10/15 miles distant. The Cathedral City of Norwich is about 22 miles to the north and Ipswich the county town of Suffolk approximately 25 miles to the south. Norfolk Hoste Barn

Old Manor Farmhouse is a fine Grade II listed 17th century wool merchant's manor house with its 17th century tithe barn, quietly situated in woodland and open farmland, not far from the National Trust's Blickling and Felbrigg estates and the private stately homes of Mannington and Wolterton. The farmhouse had fallen into derelict condition before being rescued in 1989 and sympathetically restored, winning the Graham Allen Award for Conservation in 1991.
