Location, location we have the location ! as we are ideally situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Marhamchurch, only 2 miles from Bude’s stunning coastline and sandy beaches. Eden project, Bostcastle/Tintagel, Padstow, Clovelly and Cornwall's fishing villages are only a short drive away. We also boast an excellent variety of beamed cottages, large Farmhouses and barn conversions, where we have created both tasteful and comfortable interiors and are well equipped.
Our most popular facility is our indoor pool heated all year round at a comfortable 82 oC. Excess energy can be burnt off on the hard Tennis court or enclosed trampoline. For children of all ages there is a play trail with climbing frame, swings and slides, wendy houses, loads of play toys and a pool table and table tennis table in the games room. Set in quiet and peaceful surroundings, both Tregea and Brambles have exceptional panoramic views of the Cornish coast. They are fully equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, CD/Radio player, hairdryer and selected satellite TV channels (between April and October) only. In the heart of the Blackdown Hills, tucked away down Devon lanes, lies the tiny hamlet of Madford. A charming cobbled path leads to the front door of Windover Farm Cottage which is over-arched with fragrant honeysuckle and rose. The cottage is warm and inviting decorated and furnished to an excellent standard. In the summer sit and read on the elevated patio, listen to the wildlife or just soak up the outstanding views over the traditional farmland to Dunkeswell Abbey. In the winter-time snuggle up with a glass of wine in front of the log burner set in the Inglenook fireplace or watch the garden birds and woodpeckers on the feeders scattered around the large garden.
1, Stoodley Barn in Holne, near Ashburton, Devon, is the larger part of an old, granite barn converted about 20 years ago and is full of character and charm. It is 600ft (190 metres) above sea level and the views are magnificent. The accommodation comprises a lovely, large living room with beamed ceiling and a limestone fireplace. There is a downstairs WC and small kitchen - with beautiful views of the countryside. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms. The smaller bedroom has a standard single bed, with an extra pull-out bed for a child. The main bedroom is cosy and comfortable with a normal size double bed, en-suite WC and wash basin; there are panoramic views for 20 miles. The family bathroom and WC is also on this upper floor. Visitors have the benefit of the large southerly facing garden, and there is parking for 2 cars. Pets are very welcome (except in the bedrooms)and there is no extra charge or deposit. Up to 2 dogs welcome by arrangement.
Coombe Cottage is a three bedroom character cottage with beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace with woodburner and stipped pine floors. The setting is a valley with untouched woodland, through which easy paths lead you onto Dartmoor. 10 minutes from the A38 which means that both Plymouth and the Cathedral City of Exeter are an easy half hour drive.
