Derbyshire Cotterill Farm Cottages

Cotterill Farm consists of five cottages on a non-working farm in a superb but not remote central Peak District country location. Three cottages are for four persons, and the other two are equally large cottages but one (all on the ground floor and therefore particularly suitable for the less agile), sleeps three, and one sleeps only two. Despite consistent grading of 4 Stars, the owners never rest on their laurels, constantly trying to improve fitments, furnishings and services offered. (e.g. Three cottages have full Sky tv, the others freeview, and all have internet wireless broadband.) These are just examples, there are many other ways that things have been recently 'tweaked'! The cottages have exposed beams and stone-work. The cottages are 300 yards up a private drive and form part of a courtyard facing outwards over the surrounding fields and dales to give excellent views and some degree of privacy. In front of these cottages is a large grassed and garden area. There is ample area for off-road parking for all cottages. The spacious two person cottage has a galleried bedroom overlooking the large living room, in the centre of which is a log burner standing on a stone plinth acting as a focal point It also has a five piece suite in the top quality bathroom. Five award winning stone 4 Star cottages on our non-working farm, in a glorious location overlooking dales and rolling countryside in the heart of the White Peak area of the Peak District. Buxton , Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Leek and Chatsworth House are all about 11 miles away on the edge of the Peak District at different points on the compass, confirming the owners claim to be very much in the heart of the White Peak area of the Peak District. (The White Peak is the area of rolling countryside, dales, streams and rivers limestone villages and dry-stone walls, which give the area so much character). Alton Towers is less than 30 minutes drive away. One two bedroomed cottage still available over New Year which has the benefit of full sky tv and Wi-Fi Internet

Derbyshire Hillside Croft

A 17th Century listed building of historical interest, Hillside Croft is built of warm sandstone with leaded light windows, original oak beamed ceilings and cosy inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves. It has been tastefully restored to provide a luxurious home whilst retaining its charm and character. Hillside Croft is set within landscaped grounds of six and a half acres. Our cottage has been awarded a 5 star grading by the English Tourist Board. It has been fitted and furnished to a very high standard, has quality fitted carpets throughout and full central heating. A 17th Century listed building of historical interest, 5 star Hillside Croft is built of warm sandstone with leaded light windows, original oak beamed ceilings and cosy inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves. Derbyshire Darwin Forest Country Park

Luxurious pine lodges to sleep up to 8. Each has a verandah with garden furniture and is fully equipped to the highest standards. All kitchens have a conventional cooker, microwave, refrigerator, and some have a freezer and dishwasher. A collection of luxurious pine lodges, each sleeping 2-8 people, set in 44 acres of woodland in the Derbyshire Dales. The Cottage at Ladyhole House is an Edwardian Bothy luxuriously converted in 1995. It is set at the top of a sweeping drive lined with mature chestnut trees and a carpet of daffodils in the Spring. It is set in mature gardens and grounds with many beautiful trees and a walled garden. Guests are very welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer including a tennis court, croquet and barbecue. There are also stables and grazing near to the house. Quiet countryside surrounds the house, where it is possible to walk and cycle. Ashbourne the local market town is only two miles away. This cottage set in beautiful grounds of an Edwardian country house near Ashbourne in Derbyshire, has a luxury 5 * ETB status and sleeps 6 -7 people very comfortably. There is also a tennis court and croquet for guests to enjoy as well as the glorious setting in quiet countryside. Well equipped, guests want for nothing, with host on hand to advise or help. Derbyshire Tor View

In August 1771 Richard Arkwright began building in Cromford. He created the world’s first successful water powered cotton spinning mill. The Cottage has been newly renovated to a high spec as the owner also uses it. There are 3 double bedrooms (1 Super king size with large velux window with amazing views, 1 double bed and 2 single beds) a lounge with bed settee for a further 2 people. There is an 8 seater rustic Oak table in the spacious dining room(plus new leather chairs). The Property benefits from parking which is a must in the centre of this beautiful village. There is ample room for 2 cars. Free parking across the road. There is a large garden laid with local stone. The cottage has exposed beams throughout and exposed stone walls downstairs.  The bathroom has a whirpool spa bath and there is a futher toilet and basin downstairs.  The cottage is situated in the centre of the village with 3 pubs, 1 restaurant, chemist, grocers and post office/newsagent all in a minutes stroll.  Cromford is ideally situated for walks on the canal or in the peak district.  There is also the world famous Scarthin books which also has a vegetarian cafe.
