Chelmsford is well connected to London by rail - the journey takes just over
half an hour into Liverpool Street. It has a cathedral, good shopping centre,
leisure centre with swimming pool and ice rink, a college, some of the best
schools in England, and is considered a desirable place to live. The coast is
just a half hour drive away for seaside resorts and boating. An annual music
festival is hosted in Hylands Park. There are two theatres, a cinema, numerous
restaurants, and plenty of clubs and pubs in the town for entertainment.
