Two country cottages, just north of London, with good countryside views. Each cottage sleeps 2-6 people. Private garden area with furniture. Many places to visit and plenty of things to do in. Whipsnade Wild Animal Park, only 10 minutes drive in the car, and the beautiful National Trust Ashridge Forest and Ivinghoe Beacon with fantastic views and many different walks for all abilities. Woburn Safari Park and Woburn Abbey - 15 minutes away. The centuries old village of Aldbury, just below Ashridge, with it’s famous stocks is well worth a visit.
Secluded semi-detached farmhouse, sleeps 6. Orchards Apartment (sleeps 4) has a spacious feel with large rooms. Plenty of storage space with enough room for outdoor gear, boots etc. Everything but the twin bedroom is at ground level. Fully carpeted and tastefully decorated. Outside are places to sit and enjoy the tranqil surroundings with pleasing views down the valley to Muncaster Fell. Parking is provided for two cars. Accommodation: lounge (bay window, living flame gas fire set in an original marble fireplace, TV, stereo and video), double bedroom with a wrought iron bed and a triple wardrobe, kitchen (lots of fitted units, dining table, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, auto washer and dryer) and stairs leading up to the twin bedroom. Through the kitchen is another hallway that leads to the bathroom (bath with electric shower over, basin and wc). Although the Apartment sleeps 4, a coach house is also available in the grounds to sleep an additional two people. Availability for August Bank holiday.

1, Stoodley Barn in Holne, near Ashburton, Devon, is the larger part of an old, granite barn converted about 20 years ago and is full of character and charm. It is 600ft (190 metres) above sea level and the views are magnificent. The accommodation comprises a lovely, large living room with beamed ceiling and a limestone fireplace. There is a downstairs WC and small kitchen - with beautiful views of the countryside. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms. The smaller bedroom has a standard single bed, with an extra pull-out bed for a child. The main bedroom is cosy and comfortable with a normal size double bed, en-suite WC and wash basin; there are panoramic views for 20 miles. The family bathroom and WC is also on this upper floor.
