Located close to Gorteen, County Sligo, An Crannog Cottage is a delightful, rustic cottage. The property sleeps up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms: two double rooms (one on the ground floor), and a twin bedroom. The double bedrooms both have en-suite facilities, and there is also a family bathroom with a whirlpool bath and a sauna. The cottage also includes a kitchen with an open fire incorporating a dining area and a separate sitting room. An Crannog Cottage is a great touring base for the area, offering easy access to the west of Ireland. The Ox Mountains and the rocks of Belbulben offer stunning local landscape, and there are opportunities for sailing, kayaking and angling on the surrounding lakes.

The cottage has efficient gas central heating, additional heating from living flame gas fire in sitting room, open fire in kitchen and electric woodburner-effect fire in games room. Gas oven and 6-ring hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. TV with basic Irish channels, DVD, selection of books. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Sauna in bathroom. Cot and highchair available. There is private parking space for 6 cars. Side patio, gravelled area surrounding house, furniture and barbecue. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2.5 miles, pub 1.5 miles. The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
