Situated 2.5 miles from Oughterard in County Galway, Ned Darcy's Cottage is a wonderful detached cottage. 2 people can stay in comfort at this property which has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, tucked next to a mezzanine balcony accessed via a bespoke wrought iron spiral staircase. The open-plan living area is comprised of a modern kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with a lovely pot-bellied wood-burning stove, that’s great for cooler evenings.
- Outside there is a pleasant garden, dedicated off road parking for 2 cars and bicycle storage.
Local Lough Corrib provides boat trips and great fishing, and there’s great hiking in the area including the famous Western Walk, which runs right outside the Cottage. The surrounding countryside of mountain scenery and open moorland is a tranquil paradise making this cottage and ideal retreat for those seeking peace and quiet.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher, flat screen TV with Freesat/Irish Freeview, 2nd TV/Freesat, DVD, books/games. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Rear lawned garden. Bike storage. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 2.5 miles. Towering cliffs stand next to vast stretches of golden sand, whilst vast mountain ranges cradle cool, low-lying lakes.
