Golfers are well served by the twenty-five 18 hole courses in the area and a further fourteen 9-hole courses. Boat trips provide an opportunity to explore Donegal Bay or engage is a spot of sea fishing.

Nearby Donegal Castle makes a great day trip. A longer drive will get you to Ireland's largest national park: Glenveagh, a wild landscape of mountains, waterfalls and lakes as well as being home to the baronial mansion house of Glenveagh Castle and its formal gardens.
