An Irish country cottage in a relaxing coastal position. Located in the village of Durras, 6 miles from Bantry in County Cork, Brookside is a very well equipped and welcoming holiday home set in a small holiday development. The property sleeps up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms: a double room with en-suite shower room, a twin room and a single bedroom as well as a bathroom with a bath and shower over, basin and WC. Downstairs there is an additional basin and WC. The living accommodation is further comprised of a kitchen with a dining area, and a cosy sitting room with a living flame gas fire. Guests benefit from shared use of communal front lawns provided with picnic tables, and an enclosed rear gravelled garden area. Two well-behaved pets are welcome to join you. There is off road parking for two cars. The village amenities of Durras are just a short stroll away, and all the attractions of Cork are accessible by an easy and scenic drive. The nearby Sheep’s Head and Mizen Head peninsulas are a paradise for walkers, hikers, cyclists and wildlife watchers.

The cottage has efficient gas central heating throughout, additional heating from a gas fire in the sitting room. Small selection of DVDs, books & games available for hire from caretaker for small deposit. Fuel & power inc. in rent March to Oct, €25 supplement Nov to Feb, payable directly to caretaker. Bed linen & towels included in the rent. Cot & highchair on request. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Communal grassed front area with picnic tables. Enclosed rear gravelled garden. Located in West Cork between Sheep's Head and the Beara Peninsula, Bantry has incredible sea views and colourful buildings, as well as the beautiful 'Bantry House', which is located in an elevated spot above the town. This fascinating property has beautiful gardens that are open to the public, and is the home of a plentiful collection of tapestries, furniture and art. Garinish Island, just a short boat ride away, was turned into an exotic garden in the early 20th Century and today offers a variety of interesting plant species. Golf, sailing, scuba diving, walking and cycling opportunities abound nearby for outdoors enthusiasts.
