Period charm abounds in this comfortable, restored country cottage in Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Located in the hamlet of Stean, just one mile from the village of Lofthouse in Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales, Stean Cottage is a detached, Grade II listed farmhouse cottage. The property can sleep up to 7 people in comfort and has four bedrooms (two family rooms, one with bunk beds and one single) as well as two family bathrooms.A spacious and well equipped kitchen, a smart dining room with a woodburner and a cosy sitting room with the original working range ensure an agreeable stay. There is a mature front garden and access to an orchard and a grassed area. Outside the cottage off road parking is available for up to 4 cars. The property is just a short drive from the popular tourist areas of Pateley Bridge, Harrogate and the cathedral city of Ripon, and the popular Nidderdale Way footpath passes within yards of this Dales cottage. Stean Cottage is a superb family holiday cottage at any time of year.

This self catering cottage has full oil central heating with additional heating from woodburner in the dining room and open fire in the sitting room. Kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD, PC, WiFi Internet, library of books, games and local information. Oil and electricity included in the rent. Fuel for wood burning stove and open fire available on an honesty box basis. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot and highchair available on request. There is private parking space for 4 cars. Small front garden with furniture and barbecue, separate walled garden 10 metres from cottage. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile, further shops 7 miles. Please Note: The first floor is split with 2 staircases and 2 bedrooms in each half of the building. Please Note: Water supplied from private supply. Please Note: Property is suitable for a maximum of 7 people. Please Note: There is no mobile phone signal at this property. The hamlet of Stean is situated just one mile from Lofthouse which is home to a pub, and a shop. The village sits by the river Nidd, close to Gouthwaite and Leighton Reservoir, and the village of Ramsgill.
