MALLARD (3 bedrooms: Sleeps 6 in 5 beds) - Tastefully pine-furnished two-storey Cottage, the ground floor offers open plan and spacious Sitting Room and a wood-burning stove set in a stone fireplace. The fully-fitted Kitchen is separated from the Dining Area by a peninsula unit with cupboards under. Three cosy Bedrooms - one Double and two Twin - and two Bathrooms.

SWIFT (3 bedrooms: Sleeps 5 in 4 beds) - Very attractive ground floor conversion of previous Stables, having exposed beams and a feature stone wall in the Sitting Room / Dining Room and wood-burning stove. Separate fully-fitted Kitchen. Three Bedrooms - one Double, one Twin and one Single - plus a Bathroom and a 'Wet Room'.

OWL (2 bedrooms: Sleeps 4 in 3 beds) - Below Granary, an attractively furnished and readily accessible Ground Floor Apartment with no internal steps (so possibly more suitable for both families with young children and the less mobile) having an open plan Sitting Room with Dining Area and fully-fitted Kitchen. One Double and one Twin Bedroom.

GRANARY (2 bedrooms: Sleeps 3 + 1 in 2/3 beds) - Character first-floor Apartment (above Owl) with attractive original beams and external stone steps with hand-rail. Triple aspect open plan Sitting-Room with Dining Area and fully-fitted Kitchen offering pleasant views towards Levisham to the east and the Vale of Pickering to the south. One Double and one Single Bedroom adaptable to a Twin Bedroom for a supplemental charge.

NOTE: Owl-with-Granary is an attractive option for two Parties of up to eight people holidaying together but wanting some 'privacy' on occasions.

Recommended Places to Eat Out: White Swan, Newton-on-Rawcliffe - good quantities of reasonably priced home-made English food; Horseshoe, Levisham - a haven for 'Moors Walkers' in need of liquid and solid refreshment; New Inn, Cropton - with its own brewery; Blacksmith's Arms, Lastingham - more adventurous than your average pub food; White Swan, Pickering - haute cuisine at a slightly higher price (bring your best togs for evening dining or you'll not feel 'comfortable'); Spice 4 U, Pickering - terrific Indian restaurant; Eastgate Fisheries, Pickering - best fish'n'chips in the area (take away or eat in cafe).
