The cottage has efficient gas central heating, additional heating from an open fire in the sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, shared use of washing machine and tumble dryer in owners’ laundry room, colour TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD. Shared use of owners’ games room with pool table and TV. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Small rear patio with garden furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Pub and shop 2 minutes' walk. Please Note: No children under 10. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The beautiful market town of Pickering is located on the North Yorkshire Moors National Park border. According to town legend, it was founded by Peredurus, a king who ruled during 270 BC. Pickering is filled with flowing streams and limestone hills, creating a spectacular and dramatic backdrop. For evenings out, the town has plenty of theatres, leisure centres and live music; an annual Jazz Festival is held during the month of July. Another wonderful conservational must-see is the North Yorkshire Moors National Park itself, consisting of miles of stunning and unspoilt countryside. Tourists will love a taste of royalty by visiting Pickering Castle.
