Welcome to Ravensprings, a delightful, detached, Mansion House (sleeps 16 + cot) offering extremely spacious and comfortable accommodation. The House has a lovely, private, sunny aspect and is set in a quiet residential location. It's easy access and central location makes it the ideal place for large groups and family get togethers for Holidays, Celebrations and Touring Yorkshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire. Built for the Mayor of Brighouse in 1896; Ravensprings is full of character and unique features. Most of the furnishings are antique and rather different from ordinary self catering houses. Accommodation includes a huge sitting room with an open fire and mahogany panelling from the grand ocean liner the Mauretania, an elegant dining room, breakfast room, period kitchen with all modern conveniences. There are also six Boutique style bedrooms and four bathrooms (two en suite). Outside is a garden with swings and trampoline for the children and off road parking for up to 4 cars. Centrally located with excellent Motorway (M62 & M1 2mls & 12 mls), Train: (Brighouse Station is a mile away), Ferry Liverpool and Hull and Airport Links (Manchester and Leeds / Bradford Airports are just 35m drive away). Ravensprings is a great favourite with International Visitors or people coming home and wishing to reunite with their families for holidays. The Accommodation includes a grand, period entrance hall, a magnificent, panelled sitting room with fabulous high beams, open fire, comfortable seating for 18 guests; an elegant dining room which overlooks Ravensprings Park which has a miniature railway open to the public once a month in summer. The kitchen has all mod conveniences and appliances, there is a separate utility room and breakfast room, also a downstairs cloakroom; The first floor offers: 4 large bedrooms including a four poster, super king size bed, and two en suite bath/shower rooms a family bathroom as well as a vanity unit in the Edwardian bedroom. The second floor offers a huge family bedroom with a circular bed and 4 single adult size beds which is a real hit with children. There is also a king size bedroom and a family bathroom. Outside is off road parking for up to 4 cars as well as an enclosed garden with trampoline and swings for the children as well as a patio barbeque area and ample seating. There is just so much to see and do both locally and within an hour’s drive. Ravensprings’ central location makes it the perfect base for touring Yorkshire as well as Lancashire and Derbyshire. There are numerous galleries, historical houses, gardens, agricultural shows, markets, theatres and museums. Sample the delightful local Gastro pubs and restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines.
