The Barn - Worcester ,

The Barn is situated in the countryside, but close to the city of Worcester and other smaller market towns. Just off Stonehall and Kempsey Commons, close to the River Severn, and with views across to the Malvern Hills only ten mile away it is ideal for immediate access to the beautiful Worcestershire countryside – whether you are walking, cycling, exercising the dogs or riding. It has been converted in such a way as to ensure your stay is as comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as possible with excellent facilities and plenty of space, without altering the character of the original building. Beams and existing walls have been kept with the addition of oak flooring and doors, built in cupboards, winder oak staircase and under floor heating. So if you are looking for a romantic break, a family holiday with smaller children, or a chill out time with friends The Barn is an excellent choice.

Set on our small holding where we have a small flock of breeding ewes, laying hens, ducks and geese which graze the adjoining orchard, you may like to sample the free range eggs and other seasonal fruit. We have stabling and limited grazing for horses should you wish to bring them, and well behaved dogs are welcome whether they are inside pets or wish to use the kennel. The garden and car park area is private to The Barn and well fenced for children and dogs to safely run free and enjoy.

Inside there are three bedrooms - a double with en suite, a single and a twin (with 3rd under bed) and the main bathroom. Each room has far reaching views of the countryside. Downstairs is a good sized, well equipped kitchen with a table to comfortably seat six people, a hallway, cloakroom and large sitting room with full length windows/french doors leading out onto the patio and the garden. There is a lockable shed for bikes etc.

Well located to explore the delights of Worcestershire, from culture, arts, sports and museums, to one off events and shows, there are plenty of attractions to meet everyone’s tastes. You won’t be bored or have to travel far. The Forest of Dean, Cotswolds, Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon make excellent day trips too.

Worcester

Worcester is the capital city of Worcestershire. It boasts a magnificent Cathedral which dates from the Norman times. It is also the Birthplace of Elgar and in Lower Broadheath there is a museum devoted to his work. The city also has a City Art Gallery and Museum to visit. If you like sports there is a race course, Cricket Ground and Rugby club for you to go and enjoy. You can also take boat rides down the river.
