This self catering cottage has full oil central heating with additional heat from electric woodburner-style stove in a raised fireplace. Electric oven with halogen hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washer/dryer (in adjacent outhouse), dishwasher, colour TV with Freeview. All fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Small raised patio with garden furniture. One well behaved dog welcome at a charge of £10. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles. Pub 1 mile. Please Note: This is a working beef cattle farm and cattle are nearby. Please Note: The owner has one dog. Please Note: There is an access ramp available at this cottage. Situated in beautiful countryside only five miles north of Chippenham and six miles from Malmesbury, the village of Upper Seagry is set in the south of the Cotswolds. This rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area and visitors can enjoy ample footpaths and bridleways, or alternatively, take a trip to Malmesbury – boasting a 12th Century Benedictine Abbey. The Cotswold Water Park offers a great day out, whilst Westobirt Arboretum - with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs - is not to be missed. The picturesque village of Castle Combe is within easy driving distance and is well known for its car racing track whilst the quaint National Trust village of Lacock is also close by and was used as the setting for the BBC TV serial, ‘Cranford’. The impressive Roman city of Bath, Bowood House, and the ancient stone circle at Avebury are all within an hour’s drive and are well worth visiting.
