Fey Cottage is in a row of flax workers cottages just off the lovely village green in picturesque Long Melford of Lovejoy fame and one of Suffolks most famous unspoilt medieval villages. This charming cottage sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms and welcomes pets.

You enter the cottage into the main room with its lovely open log fire and cosy settee and armchair, the floor is made of original Suffolk White bricks and has a large Persian rug. Behind the sofa sit the table and chairs to enjoy the breakfast basket in style. Open stairs lead up to a small double bedroom and the very pretty master bedroom with exposed beams and brickwork. This cottage is best suited to a couple with a child or three adults. Through the sitting room you access a very well organised and equipped kitchen, a good sized bathroom with a bath including shower to the right, and straight ahead out into the private sunny garden. You can walk from the end of the garden straight out into the pretty Suffolk countryside.

Fey Cottage is located on the outskirts of the bustling village of Long Melford near the imposing church off The Green. It is situated by the main road A1093 which takes you to the picturesque villages of Clare and Cavendish. Long Melford is one of Suffolks prettiest villages and is well known for its antique shops and warehouses, which were portrayed in the TV series Lovejoy. The cloth industry dominated the village trades in the 14th to 17th centuries and much of the wonderful architecture stems from this rich period. There are very many historic buildings in the village, best known are Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which is famous for its Tudor re-enactments. Both are open for public viewing. This is a lovely cottage for 3 people to share and explore Long Melford and the best that Suffolk has to offer.

There are very many historic buildings in the village, best known are Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which is famous for its Tudor re-enactments. Both are open for public viewing. Only 90 mins from London - it's a great weekend escape cottage.
