Beautiful pink historic 16th century cottage, centrally located on Aldeburgh’s ever-popular High Street, close to the famous shops, restaurants and of course the beach. This charming cottage is one of Aldeburgh’s oldest houses, and highly unusual for the town - inside this quirky cottage you’ll find a mass of original beams and inglenook fireplaces. On the ground floor there’s a large living room with a wood-burning stove, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (a king and a twin). At the back of the cottage there is a raised patio garden. Prices are inclusive of 100% cotton bed linen and towels during your stay, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you with getting your break off to the right start.

Enter through the front door which leads into a small hallway with doors to the living room and dining room. In the living room, at the heart of the room is a warming wood burning stove in a large inglenook fireplace to keep you warm and cosy. Ideal for relaxing are the two leather two-seater sofas and a tub chair. There is also a large coffee table, a TV with the four main terrestrial channels, along with a Nintendo Wii and an iPod docking station for your entertainment. In the dining room there is a modern glass-topped table and six chairs with high backs. Past the dining room is the kitchen with its stainless steel fronted gas hob and electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher and a freestanding top quality Smeg fridge-freezer. Leading off from the kitchen is a small lobby with access to the back door and bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, a w.c. and a hand basin.
Stairs from the hallway by the front door lead up to the first floor and the two bedrooms. The first bedroom is large and unusual with high, beamed sloping ceilings and an original brick fireplace (not in use) that give the room a dramatic effect. There’s a lovely king size oak sleigh bed and bedside tables, plus a wardrobe and chest of drawers with both drawers and hanging space. The gas boiler is located in this bedroom. In the second bedroom there are twin beds, a chest of drawers and hooks on the walls with coat hangers. Outside the cottage there a raised patio garden at the back which is reached by a flight of steps from the back door. For al fresco dining in summer time there is a table and 4 chairs outside.
The cottage has gas central heating throughout as well as a cosy wood burning stove.
