Coach House - Somerton,

The Coach House is a luxury 6-bedroom property adjacent to a late C18 Grade II listed Georgian Country House on the 90-acre Somerton Randle Estate. It is available for holiday letting for the first time during 2006. The Coach House is of a 5 star standard and offers comfortable and spacious accommodation.

The Coach House is a luxurious country retreat ideal for family holidays or special occasions. With 6 bedrooms (sleeping 12 plus cots), 3 bathrooms, two reception rooms, a farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room, a formal dining room and 3 staircases, the accommodation is extensive and beautifully appointed.

The Coach House is the secondary residence on a 90-acre Georgian estate comprising main house, formal gardens, parkland with lake, estate cottages, clock tower and arable farm. The following facilities on the estate are available by arrangement with the owners:

  • heated outdoor swimming pool
  • tennis court
  • table tennis in barn attic
  • tour of formal gardens

The interior has been furnished to an extremely high standard and includes a superb range of antique furniture, original works of art and top end Bang & Olufsen TV and music systems. The drawing room is large, comfortable and perfect for entertaining whilst the formal dining room will allow you to dine in style.

A secondary sitting room - the snug - provides an alternative quiet room ... or somewhere to let the kids watch a DVD. Both reception rooms have open fires.

The farmhouse kitchen is huge, accommodating a breakfast/dining table that seats twelve. It is fully equipped with an AGA, separate range cooker, twin sinks, twin dishwashers, an American-style fridge/freezer with ice maker and a microwave oven.

The kitchen leads to a laundry room, cloakroom and store ... so there's plenty of space to dry wet coats and wellies!
