Shepherds Cottage is one of 8 properties situated at Cannington Grange, a private Victorian Country House converted to provide superior holiday accommodation in a secluded but not remote location. 'I thoroughly enjoyed myself here at Shepherds cottage. The pool was fantastic and so was the games room. Had loads of things to keep us occupied...' Lucy 10 Converted from the original Victorian stables, this is a cosy yet spacious courtyard cottage, sleeping 7, offering superior facilities to provide comfortable family holidays. On the ground floor is a lounge with exposed stonework, open fire and beams. A patio door leads onto the patio seating area provided for this cottage. There is a large kitchen diner which can double as a family room. Downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor is the large double room which overlooks the rear gardens, with feature kingsize wooden bed and ample storage. A cot is available if required. The second bedroom comfortably accomodates 3 single beds and the third bedroom is a nicely sized twin room. The modern bathroom is centrally located. 'The cottage was fantastic and cosy. We couldn't ask for more. it made our holiday that much better. Thank you very much.'

The cottage enjoys shared use of all the great facilites at Cannington Grange, briefly they include: Indoor heated pool, with hot tub & sauna Detached games room with pool table, pub football, table tennis, xbox, books, dvd's & board games Half-acre fishing pond Plenty of outside play equipment, plus a tree fort! Outside bbq areas Crocquet lawn There is also a laundry room & recycling centre. The adjacent village of Cannington boasts 4 pubs, a butchers, bakers, long opening Spar, a Post Office and a newsagents. Supermarkets are about 3 miles away. We are a great base for exploring the area - nearby are the Quantocks AONB, beaches, moors, walking and trekking, Cheddar Gorge, theme parks (Crealy), national trust properties galore, you can do a different thing every day - thats if you can bear to leave the Grange itself!

Located at the start of the Quantocks - Englands first AONB. Lots of National Trust properties within easy drive, choice of beaches from 15 - 35 mins, proper village shops; bakery, butcher, newsagents, post office, spar, petrol station. Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Bath, Bristol, Somerset Levels, Theme parks...loads to do in the area!
