Sleeping up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms, this lovely stone-built converted barn is located in Alberbury, a village not far from the town of Shrewsbury. The cottage features original wooden beams and trusses that give the place a true homely feel.

Two king-size double bedrooms, a twin room and a single room give you plenty of options when it comes to who sleeps where. Two of the bedrooms have their own en-suites while there is also a separate bathroom that the whole house can use. Cook up and serve some home-cooked meals in the kitchen and dining area and then retire to the sitting area for an evening spent with your loved ones. When the temperatures are low you can use the wood burner to warm you up and there is also a private hot tub outside on the patio, perfect for bathing in after a long day of walking. Fear not if you are stuck inside due to lousy weather, as the shared games barn will keep everyone entertained for hours on end. The adults will love the pool table while you'll have to drag the kids away from the table football and climbing frame.

When the weather is nice you simply have to get yourself outside and discover the places that are within a walking distance of the cottage. Loton Estate's deer park is a great place to take the kids for an afternoon and Offa's Dyke Path is perfect for keen walkers and leads right up to the historic Powis Castle. If you fancy a night away from the country then Shrewsbury is also just a short drive away and the town is full of fantastic pubs and restaurants. Adults and kids alike are sure to love their time in this wonderful location at this superb cottage.
