Cosy 18th century pet friendly country cottage, sleeping up to 9 people, nestling in the small unspoilt rural village of Hockerton, near Southwell. Sauna & 2 bathrooms, pretty enclosed garden. Visit Nottingham Castle & Sherwood Forest, Southwell Minster, Newark Show and old market town. Peak District within easy distance for a day out. Still available first and last week of July!

Daisy's Cottage  - Hockerton, Southwell,

Daisy's Cottage is a charming character country cottage, lovingly restored and retaining many original features.  Beamed ceilings, suffolk latch doors and ornate cast iron fireplaces. The perfect place to get away from it all and unwind for that perfet holiday. Available for long or short breaks. It is surprisingly spacious downstairs and can accommodate up to 9 people with it's 4 bedrooms. It has 2 bathrooms and added bonus of a sauna. Well behaved pets welcome. Still available first and last week of July

Available for long or short breaks from £450 per week.  Last minute nightly rate from £100.

Prices quoted are for up to 6 people only.  For each additional persons price upon request.

A refundable security deposit  of £200 is required with the final payment (this may bemore depending on size and make up of party). 

Dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £15 per dog per week.

 

Downstairs - A large lounge area with beamed ceiling and (very convincing) gas effect open fire. Double glass doors.  Conservatory with aged oak timber frame leading to wet room and sauna.  Dining kitchen with pine units and granite surfaces, oil fired range for heating and cooking, table seating 8/9 people. There is a utility room with freezer, washer, dryer and microwave oven with grill.

Upstairs - Master bedrooms with double bed, 2nd bedroom with kingsize bed, 1 bedroom with a 3/4 bed which can sleep 2 average size adults with 3/4 bunk bed above, ideal for 2 children or at a a push again 2 average size adults, 1 single bedroom with single bed (Z bed available which just fits into this room on request. Bathroom with cast iron claw foot bath.

Changeover Day: Flexible

There is much to see and do locally. The famous Major Oak, home of Robin Hood; Nottingham City with it's castle, shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas; Nearby attractions such as the old market town of Newark with it's castle and famous Antique Fair; Lincoln Cathedral and Southwell Minster. For the outdoor enthusiast there is Rufford, Clumber and Thoresby Park; Sherwood Pines Mountain Bike Centre; Go Ape & Go Carting adventure parks; There's also the National Watersport Centre at Holme Pierrepont, local swimming pools and only 1 hours drive away is the beautiful Peak District famous for it's walking and rock climbing. The options are endless
