Our reputation is built upon providing luxurious self-catering holiday cottages for holidays that are truly memorable. We pay great attention to detail and provide many special touches.

Coquet Cottages suit a wide variety of tastes from romantic cosy one bedroom cottages complete with log burning stoves to a selection of cottages with fabulous rivers views, Grade II listed period buildings in historic villages and towns, stone-built cottages near the coast or in the countryside to larger properties suitable for family get-togethers and holiday shares with another family; all in fabulous locations such as Alnwick, Alnmouth, Beadnell, Lesbury, Rothbury, Warkworth and Kirknewton based in the Cheviot countryside on the edge of Northumberland National Park.  

Most cottages are centrally placed, making them the perfect base from which to explore all of the beaches, islands, castles, historic houses, gardens, family attractions and much more in our Secret Kingdom of Northumbria. Equally important, the majority of cottages are set in locations within easy walking distance of the local shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and galleries.

For COUPLES we have cosy, pretty one bedroom cottages and short breaks available all year round. For example, ‘Lane End Cottage’, granted a prestigious Gold Award (2011), with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, set in the heart of the village overlooking the beautiful River Coquet and yet less than 5 minutes walk to the local cafes, pubs, restaurants and local post office/general store and a slightly longer 15 minute walk to the golden sandy beach. Pets welcome.

For FAMILIES you’ll find that the majority of our cottages are child friendly with lots of extras including toys and games for all ages, baby equipment and versatile accommodation to suit your individual family needs – just ask!  Local beaches, countryside and castles to explore plus indoor attractions and leisure facilities nearby should the weather be inclement.  Pets welcome.

For GET-TOGETHERS WITH FRIENDS AND EXTENDED FAMILY we have three larger properties, ‘Lyndhurst’, 'The Stables' and ‘Sea Dreams’ with spacious rooms, large relaxing lounges and luxury ‘entertaining’ kitchens / open dining rooms for cooking and socialising. Ground floor bedrooms, bathroom and/or washrooms with shower available. Pets welcome.

For LESS ABLE AND ELDERLY GUESTS take a look at 'Garden Cottage', a 2 bedroom cottage all one one level with a 'Level 1 Mobility' grading.  Set in a beautiful landscaped garden and close to all the village amenities. Pets welcome.

Warkworth

In Warkworth, there are wonderful riverside walks alongside the pretty River Coquet, which encircles the village, to watch the abundance of wildlife such as herons, foxes, migrating birds, leaping salmon, swans - we even have otters and seals swimming in our river! Warkworth also has a vast, sandy beach with dramatic dunes, and wonderful, far-reaching views up and down the Heritage Coastline. Local amenities in Warkworth include the local village post office store,welcoming inns and pubs,restaurants and galleries.
