Sod Hall, is a hidden gem in the Tyne valley countryside, offering complete tranquillity and luxurious comfort for a very special holiday break. No expense has been spared in bringing this attractive farmhouse up to the highest standard of luxurious comfort.

Sod Hall sleeps eight people in four twin bedrooms. As you enter this charming house you will be struck by the warm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere; wooden flooring, light and airy rooms all add to the feeling of elegant country style.

The spacious comfortable sitting room has a wood burning stove for that warm glow on chillier evening. There is a separate dining room.

All four bedrooms are en-suite and fitted with flat-screenTVs. The house is equipped with DVD player, Wi-Fi, Freeview, Ipod station and fax machine.

One of the bedrooms and en-suite bathroom on the groundfloor which may be helpful for the elderly who may prefer not to climb stairs.

• Fishing is available on the Bywell Beat of  the River Tyne from February to November.

Peaceful setting, excellent facilities for a week's holiday or short break November to February. Explore the countryside around Bywell on foot or bicycle to take in the fabulous scenery and plentiful wildlife. A torchlight mini safari at night can be very rewarding and even exciting. See swooping owls, wild cats, foxes and deer. Visit the towns and villages of Hexham, Corbridge or Stocksfield. Take a trip into Newcastle which is 20 miles to the east for a day out shopping or to the theatre.
