Situated in the small village of Lowick in the Northumberland countryside, close to the town of Wooler, The Barmoor Retreat is a traditional, mid-terraced cottage that makes cosy base for a family holiday. The property sleeps up to 5 people and has two doubles on the first floor, along with a bathroom, while the second floor offers a twin room with en-suite shower room. Downstairs there is a modern kitchen incorporating a dining area, an Aga-style oil fired cooker and doors to the rear decking, and a comfortable sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside to the rear of the property there is an informal garden with a decked area and furniture which is ideal for relaxing. There is off road parking for 3 cars. The Barmoor Retreat makes a great base for a family holiday, being close to the sandy beaches of the Heritage coast, the wonderful Borders landscape, the countryside of Northumberland, and the Holy Island.

The cottage is heated using oil fired central heating, additional heating from a woodburner in the sitting room. Aga-style oil fired cooker, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, colour TV, DVD player, radio, stereo/CD, small library of CDs, DVDs and books etc. Oil and electricty included in the rent. Logs for woodburner available to purchase locally. Bed linen is included in the rent. Cot and highchair available. There is private parking space for 3 cars. Rear enclosed garden with decking, furniture and barbecue. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 1 mile. Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Lowick is a small village in Northumberland, close to Wooler and Berwick-upon-Tweed. Lowick is also close to the sprawling Ford and Etal estate, which has a steam railway, castle, craft shops, cycling and fishing. The lovely sandy beaches of the Heritgae Coast are an easy drive away, making Lowick a great base for a varied family holiday.
