A wonderful Northumbrian country cottage. Situated just outside Amble, and 10 miles from Alnwick in Northumberland, Lilian's Retreat is a lovely semi-detached cottage. The property is suitable for up to 5 people and has 3 bedrooms: two doubles and one single as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also includes a fitted kitchen with an incorporated dining area (that seats four people) and a cosy sitting area that seats three. At the rear there is an enclosed lawn with a patio and furniture. This cottage has off road parking for 2 cars. The cottage is close to the harbour and shops of Amble, and a short drive away will take you on to the historic village of Warkworth with its medieval castle, or to Alnwick with its Castle and gardens. Lilian's Retreat is a great base for a holiday in the North East.

The cottage has efficient gas central heating throughout. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine. TV, DVD, radio/CD, library of books. Fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Enclosed rear garden and patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 10 minutes' walk. Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic HadrianÂ’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The fishing port of Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks. Close to Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve and there are coastal villages nearby. Warkworth and Alnwick with their castles are well worth visiting.
