Doxford Farm Cottages - Alnwick, Northumberland, England

Doxford Farm is a 500 acre working farm situated amidst undulating, unspoilt wooded countryside, five miles from the coast. We offer comfortable family accommodation in the form of 8 stone built terrace cottages as well as the farmhouse annexe.

The farm has both arable and livestock enterprises and supports various conservation and environmental stewardship schemes. The cottages are located at the end of a no-through road, thus creating a safe and quiet environment for our guests. The lake holds brown trout and our guests are welcome to fly fish by arrangement with the estate manager. We have five miles of wooded and lakeside walks and trails for our guests to explore the farm and our diverse wildlife.

 We have 9 Self catering farm cottages, all 3 to 4 star. All cottages are well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezers and microwaves. There is a communal washing room equipped with an additional washing machine and tumble dryer. All linen is provided but we ask you to bring your own towels (excluding Dairy Maids and Farmhouse Annexe). Electricity is supplied by a pound coin meter, found above each front door (excluding Dairy Maids and Farmhouse Annexe). The cottages have a private water supply from a natural spring and parking is available adjacent to each cottage.

Northside Cottage - This cottage is North facing with its own garden. There are three bedrooms comprising of a double, a twin and a large bedroom with a double and a single bed. The bathroom is upstairs with a bath and shower overhead. The sitting room is comfortable with an open fire with flat screen TV and DVD player with Freeview . There is a separate dining room leading to a well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Our new games room provides children an escape from parents and a chance to make new friends. The games room includes a pool table, table tennis, a desk for board games and a Television corner with sky + with all sports and movie channels. All guests are welcome to use the sky plus for sporting events.
