Self-catering cottages in Alnmouth.  Sitting where the River Aln meets Northumberland’s heritage coast, Alnmouth is a picturesque seaside village. The village is well supplied with shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants providing for all your needs. The long sandy beach is an excellent place for relaxing, taking a swim or walking. Nature lovers will want to explore the Alnmouth Salt marsh and dunes, which have been recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and draw in seasonally migrating birds.  A pleasant stroll can be taken within the peaceful grounds of the Friary of St Francis in the village, while an appealing longer walk might be taken along the Northumberland Coastal Path.  The Warkworth and Alnmouth golf clubs sit either side of the village and provide excellent facilities. 

The historic market town of Alnwick is close by with its famous castle and gardens to explore, a delight for Harry Potter fans, who will recognise the castle as ‘Hogwarts’ from the film adaptations.
