Board House  - Lancaster,

Board House sits between the Barnacre and Grizedale Reservoirs in a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty, with uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside, coastline and mountains of the Lake District. Postitioned some 15 minutes south of Lancaster. The stone house was originally built some 200 years ago and has been beautifully renovated to an exceptionally high standard. Be it walking, fishing, cycling, shooting or ultimate relaxation this house offers it all. Fly fishing is available by daily/weekly permit some 10 - 15 paces from the door. Wild birds including Grebes, Oyster Catchers, the renowned Hen Harrier and Canada Geese have all made their homes on the waters surrounding the property. Deer, pheasants and garden birds abound. Catered facilities are also available by arrangement with the owners who already offer this service to shoot parties in the winter months. Winter shoot days are available for the forthcoming 2009/2010 season. Balconies to the rear of the property which overlook the reservoir and surrounding countryside make perfect alfresco dining areas and magnificent view points to unwind and absorb the beauty of this unspoiled habitat.

The interior of the property boasts 6 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, one of which has a huge oak dining table which comfortably seats 10, 3 bathrooms and a fully fitted oak kitchen, granite worksurfaces, central island, Rangemaster cooker, amercian style fridge freezer and integral dishwasher with the whole kitchen overlooking and opening out onto the patio area and lawns. There is also a double garage which houses washer/dryer and storage space for bicycles, walking equipment and fishing tackle etc. Wireless broadband connection is installed as is digital TV. The master bedroom situated in the eaves of the house has a king size bed, juliette balcony, built in storage and ensuite with roll tap bath. There are a further two  twin bedrooms and a single bedroom on the middle level of the house and a shower room with toilet. The ground floor level houses the three reception rooms along with two further double bedrooms. There is a further large bathroom on this level.

Board House is located 20 minutes north of Junction 32 M6 and 10 minutes south of Junction 33 M6. Britain's first Fair Trade Town, Garstang is 4 miles away and the sunny market village of Scorton with its restaurant, tea rooms, garden centre and Village inn is 10 minutes drive away or a very pleasant destination and break following a walk over Nicky Nook hill. All bed linen and towels are provided. There is an outdoor secure heated stone dog house with run. Landscaped gardens with furniture and barbecue make this an ideal all year round retreat.
