An amazing luxurious cottage holiday in Garstang could be yours to look forward to at this 5 star, gold for Excellence rated cottage which was built in 2007. It is a stone-built detached cottage which has magnificent views over the Lancashire countryside. Boasting open plan living areas with a fully equipped designer kitchen, AGA Stove and underfloor heating this luxury cottage will provide you with a comfortable stay. The cottage has 3 bedrooms and can therefore sleep 7 comfortably within one double bedroom, a family/twin bedroom with a double and a single bed and a further twin bedroom (can be converted into a superking bed) upstairs. The double bedroom has a large en-suite with bath and shower and the family room has a large en suite with wet room type shower area. Thos Garstang cottage also has a cloakroom/ laundry room and a private garden at the rear with the ability to enjoy outside meals in good weather.
Some of the luxurious touches to this cottage that sleeps 7 include Italian tiled floors, beautiful rugs, furnishings and a high quality finish. This is a fantastic cottage for a family or small group of friends or 3 couples.

Barnacre is set in the Forest of Bowland in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you enjoy walking, there are many footpaths and lanes to follow, including the popular Nicky Nook and Grizedale Valley walks that follow the river through the valley up to the reservoirs. With great wildlife, walking is a pleasure, whatever the weather. For those who like a break along the way, the nearby village of Scorton with its cafe, coffee shop and pub offers a welcome rest and the energy for the uphill walk back. Only three miles away is the small, pleasant town of Garstang, with lots of small shops and a market. Lancaster is just twenty minutes away and is a great place to visit with museums, theatre, shops, attractions and parks.
Nearest Train Station or Airport: The pretty Lancaster railway station with just 2 platforms is a 25 minute drive, the larger Preston station a bit further. The International airports of Liverpool and Manchester an hours drive.
Recommended Places to Visit: Lots of local attractions and places to visit. Agricultural and country fairs. Great walks from our door. Further afield, a 45 minute drive will take you to Kendal in the Lake District. Windermere, Bowness and Ullswater all possess attractions ranging from the World of Beatrix Potter to a steam train ride at Ravenglass. Besides fabulous floral displays, the Holker Hall Garden Festival in June has lots of stalls and plants for sale. Lowther Park holds the famous Horse Trials and Country Show in August each year, with a variety of things to see, such as the ferret competition. Blackpool is a major attraction for people of all ages. Its many attractions include the Pleasure Beach with its 235 feet high Pepsi Max roller coaster, Blackpool Zoo, the Illuminations each autumn and, of course, the famous Blackpool Tower. Blackpool's fine beaches should not be overlooked, as they have won awards for cleanliness, despite the donkeys! An hours drive away are the cities of Manchester and Liverpool, with great shopping including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Plus, the famous football grounds.
Annual Events: Numerous country fairs and agricultural shows from spring to autumn. Forest of Bowland Festival, walking and food festivals.
Recommended Places to Eat Out: There is a wide range of really good restaurants, including ones offering gourmet dinners, and traditional pubs within a few miles. Many are suitable for children.
Local Sports: All weather tennis court on site, Royal Lytham and Royal Birkdale golf courses are within easy reach, there is also a pay and play course in Garstang. Pony trekking, canal boat hire, riding, fishing, gym, swimming pool and health spa all nearby.
Garstang is a small pretty market town with lots of independent shops and the weekly market held every Thursday on the High Street. Also Winners of Britain in Bloom with lots of lovely floral displays.
