The Old Dairy is a lovely period cottage located in the quiet Kent village of Herne, near to the seaside resort of Herne Bay. An excellent place for a romantic break, this former dairy is all on the ground floor and very welcoming. The light and spacious cottage has a sitting room, a charming dining area and a welcoming fitted kitchen. The double bedroom sleeps two in comfort while a simple shower room and fitted kitchen offer modern convenience. A garden with decked area is ideal for outdoor dining after days out exploring the area. The Old Dairy is in short walking distance of the Post Office with store and three great pubs. A stroll will take you on to Herne Bay with its wealth of cafes and restaurants. There is off road parking for one car and you'll find many seaside towns and attractions a short drive away, including the famous sea food town of Whitstable just along the coast. You'll enjoy this holiday at any time of year.

Electric heating throughout. In the kitchen there is an electric oven and hob, refrigerator, shared use of owner's washing machine, colour TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD. Books/DVD/games. Fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for one car. Shared use of the owners’ garden with own decked area and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 minutes' walk. Beach 30 minutes' walk. Please Note: 28th July - 11th August 2012 charged at £561 per week (inclusive of £35 booking fee) due to Olympic Games. Kent has a history of crop production with many apples being harvested for the production of apple juice and cider. Kent's farming industry means that here you can find acres of beautiful farmlands and orchards growing apples. Also in Kent are charming oast houses with their pointed roofs which are so quintessentially characteristic of the county. Whether you having in mind a rural break or a holiday by the coast, Kent can offer both.

The small village of Herne in Kent is conveniently located within walking distance of the seaside resort of Herne Bay which has two miles of seafront with its colourful beach huts and has opportunities to row, yacht and jet ski ride. Herne Bay has many amenities including ice cream parlours, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are also many wonderful events and festivals that take place in the town during the summer. Just six miles away is Whitstable which has a harbour, fish market, cafes, restaurants, shops and Oyster fishing boats. Twelve miles away is the popular seaside resort of Margate which offers donkey rides and a pretty harbour. Also nearby is the magnificent city of Canterbury. The city has a stunning cathedral which is the oldest in England. There is something for everyone within this delightful region of Kent.
