This elegant Edwardian villa was built in 1911 and is situated just 50 yards from Clacton's sandy beaches. Hamilton House is a spacious, detached six bedroom holiday home with a secluded south west facing garden - great for barbecues.

There are six good sized bedrooms, two of which are children's rooms, and can comfortably sleep up to ten adults. The house is light and airy with classic Edwardian features including French windows leading to verandahs from three of the bedrooms. In the family kitchen there is an Aga -for those who enjoy cooking and a microwave for those who don't! The dining room table comfortably seats ten people and Sky TV is available in four rooms.

There is plenty off-street parking for up to four cars. We also offer a beach hut at the highly sought after Frinton Walings - which provides shelter and cooking facilities for a day at the beach. Clacton's links golf course is less than a mile away and with plenty others in the area it makes a great base for a golfing break too!

Clacton Pier with all it's attractions is less than half a mile. Colchester Zoo is a great family day out and so is historic Colchester Castle. There are several good golf courses in the area and always the glorious sandy beach is worth a walk - whatever the weather!

Travel: Clacton train station - Stansted Airport

Good places to visit: Constable country, the Stour Valley, Dedham and Flatford. You can hire a boat and row through the spectacular scenery from Dedham for a traditional English cream tea in Flatford - definitely worth the effort. Nature reserve boat trip through Walton backwaters with a possible sighting of seals. Must be booked in advance.

Annual Events: The Clacton airshow is a very popular two day event just prior to the August bank holiday.

Good places to eat: Prezzo's, Franco's, Reg's Fish & Chips, The Ocean Bar.

Local Sports: Golf, sailing, wind surfing,horse riding and flying.
