Fresh newly refurbished open-plan flat with an excellent kitchen area, comfortable seating with a large sofa and two easy chairs and a TV. This apartment is perfect for a rural break and especially wonderful for anyone who would like to photograph or sketch horses in the fields. The countryside round about offers walks and nature rambles. The local road names in Charlton Horethorn all point to a pleasant rural location, there is Harvest Lane, Horse, Cowpath, Cabbage and Green Lanes, Violet Lane which must have been known for the number of violets growing on the grass verge. All around are paths and green fields.
There is a number of interesting towns and villages to visit for days out. The historic town of Sherborne is just over 5 miles drive. Suggested places to visit in Sherborne are Sherborne Abbey, Sherborne Castle with a lake designed by Capability Brown that sits in beautiful gardens, the Sherborne Steam and Water Centre and the local museum for a look at life through the ages.
One of the most popular places to visit is the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton near Ilchester for an insight into the hisory and work of the aircraft used by the Royal Navy.

The sleeping area has a good double bed, a single bed and a child`s cot.
The apartment is in a very quiet location, between Sherborne and Wincanton with masses of things to do.
We are a stud breeding racehorses, so dogs could be accepted but must be well-behaved or kept on a lead if not used to horses. There are steps up to the flat with a strong handrail, but it would not be suitable for anyone disabled.

The apartment is a good base for exploring the south of England. There are numerous places of interest within an easy drive such as Yeovil, Wincanton, Glastonbury, Salisbury. The beaches of the south coast are about half an hour's drive away.
Nearest Train Station or Airport: Templecombe or Castle Cary
Recommended Places to Visit: Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton near Ilchester, 11 miles away, for a day out with the Naval Aviation Section. Wincanton for racing.
Annual Events: West of England Bead Fair at Wincanton on Sunday 10th of June - a perfect day for people interested in crafts and beadwork.
