An excellent family holiday home close to the New Forest. Situated within the boundaries of the Avon Heath Country Park near the historic market town of Ringwood, The Chalet is a detached property fashioned from a former Ranger’s cottage. This cosy accommodation can sleep up to 6 people and has three bedrooms: a ground floor twin, a king-size double and a further twin. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, shower attachment, basin and WC. Downstairs there is a well-equipped fitted kitchen and a comfortable sitting room furnished with a woodburner and incorporating a dining area. An enclosed lawned garden supplied with furniture provides private outdoor space and leads directly on to walking and cycling tracks through the large areas of heathland in Dorset’s largest country park. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage, please check details for terms related to pets. Outside the property there is also off-road parking for 3 cars. Outside the park it’s a short drive to the beautiful New Forest National Park, and the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole. The Chalet makes a lovely base for a family get-away.

The cottage is heated using oil fired central heating, additional heating from a woodburner in the sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, colour TV with Freeview, DVD player, books and games. Fuel, power and fuel for woodburner included in the rent. Bed linen is included in the rent. There is private parking space for 3 cars. Enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (ground floor only). Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Please Note: Cottage is accessed via a half-mile gravelled track. Please Note: A338 is about 300 yards through the trees. Please Note: The Olympic weeks (28th July to 11th August 2012) are charged at £977.00 per week (inclusive of £35 booking fee). Dorset has many rural areas to discover as well as a fascinating coastline.  Visit one of the National Trust's attractions such as Clouds Hill or Corfe Castle.  You may also want to take a walk to see the Cerne Giant, said to be Britain's biggest chalk hill figure.  For more countryside, there are a number of country parks including Durlston country park which has won a green flag award, indicating that this park is one of the best green spaces in England.
