Plymouth is a bustling city that has a wonderful maritime history and many amenities that will suit all tastes. The beautiful narrow streets in the city contain shops, restaurants and galleries. There are also shops galore at the newly opened city centre shopping mall. There are many attractions within the city, such as taking a lovely walk up the Hoe, which has superb views across the harbour or for the adults why not take a tour of the Plymouth Gin Distillery or spend time in the excellent National Marine Aquarium? Other attractions include watching a show at the wonderful Threatre Royal, watersports at the Mountbatten Centre and delightful boat trips around the Sound and Naval dockyards. The areas nearby that are within driving distance is the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the seaside resorts of Torbay and many stately homes. Plymouth and the surrounding area has something for everyone.
