Part of Shute Cottage, a 15th century, Grade II listed thatched Devon longhouse, Shute Cottage Barn is a beautifully converted linhay barn.  

The barn, nestles amongst rolling hills in the Teign Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of 'Dartmoor National Park', near the south Devon sandy beaches. It is secluded; overlooking unspoilt wooded countryside and meadows doused in birdsong.

The award winning  Nobody Inn Pub is a 3 minute walk away.  Haldon
Countryside Park where you can test your mountain biking skills is close by.

It is ideal for walkers, mountainbikers and those seeking a tranquil escape from it all; with an array of National Trust properties, antique centres and Dartmoor villages to explore in the vicinity.

The Barn is ideal for walkers with walks across the fields and woods to 'The Manor Inn' with its exquisite food, and with 'The Dartmoor National Park' and 'Haldon Forest Park' on the doorstep. Walking, cycling and riding routes are plentiful, as are the stunning south Devon beaches. 

Mountainbikers and adventurers will enjoy the extensive trails and walks; abseiling and climbing in 'Haldon Forest Park'; gourmets will be satiated with the profusion of good cuisine in the beautiful thatched Dartmoor pubs. Birdwatchers and antique hunters will love Topsham and Ashburton. There is an array of National Trust properties nearby. 

 

 

Enjoy the original features of the stylish barn which was converted to the highest standards in 2008, retaining it's 15th century charm. It is cosy and warm, yet light and smart. It is open plan, with a smart cream kitchen with butler sink; hob, fridge-freezer and washing machine. The dining area has a kitchen table and chairs with Sky TV. There is an antique brass double bed and ensuite power shower and loo.
