Webbery Barton Barn - Bideford,

Webbery Barton Barn is quite simply one of the largest and finest barn conversions in North Devon. Originally a double threshing barn and round house, this beautiful structure has been sympathetically converted to a very high standard using quality materials and now offers the luxurious refinements of a modern home combined with many original period features.

Webbery Barton Barn is south west facing and overlooks its own private gardens and grounds. There are lovely views over open countryside and to the sea in the distance. Being at Webbery Barton Barn you can enjoy the benefits of both worlds, it’s in a quite rural hamlet, yet only just two and three quarter miles from the port and market town of Bideford which offers an extensive range of shops, restaurants and pubs. It is also only seven miles from one of the main towns in North Devon, Barnstaple.

Everyone who visits Webbery Barton Barn has told me that there is an immediate ‘wow factor’, as when you enter the grand receiving / dining hall with its lofty vaulted ceiling overlooked by a Juliet balcony, with inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove, it truly is a wonderful room for entertaining.

Throughout the whole of the ground floor is the superb oak flooring with underfloor heating. At the centre of the barn is a large hallway with impressive oak staircase leading to the galleried landing above. There is a 34ft drawing room with plentiful leather sofas, widescreen TV with Freeview and DVD. The drawing room leads through to a games room with a snooker/pool table and table football. These two rooms are linked externally by a cloistered sun loggia with is truly impressive.

The spacious kitchen / breakfast room is ideal for informal entertaining, it centres around a traditional range recessed beneath a sandstone archway. Floor to ceiling folding glazed doors provide plenty of light as well as access to the beautiful cobbled courtyard which is ideal for breakfasting in the summer.

Immediately in front of Webbery Barton Barn is the southwest facing open cloistered sun loggia with glazed roof. Immediately adjacent to this is an extensive sun terrace ideal for sun bathing, relaxing and summer dining. The patio area has a BBQ area with tables, chairs and umbrella’s where you can watch the sun go down.

The formal garden is arranged in front of the barn where there are sweeping lawns, one of which has a central circular bed stocked with young specimen trees and shrubs. There is a gate at the end of the garden leading through to our paddocks which are great for playing ball games.

Upstairs there are five light and airy bedrooms, with four being ensuite. (2 large family rooms with double bed and 2 singles, both ensuite and three spacious twin rooms, two being ensuite, a large family bathroom and there is a further twin room downstairs). The family bathroom has a roll top bath and additional shower.

All our bedrooms are furnished to a luxurious standard with fresh white bed linen and towels.

Maximum of 2 well behaved dogs welcome.  There is an additional charge of £20.00 per dog per week.

Sorry, but we do not accept Hen or Stag Parties.
