A charming country cottage on a quiet lane. Located a mile from the town of Leek, near the Peak District National Park, Highfield Cottage is a lovely country cottage in a country setting. The property sleeps up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms: a king-size double bedroom, a further double and a twin room as well as a family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Downstairs, the living accommodation also includes a kitchen incorporating a dining area, a cosy sitting room and a reading room. The enclosed garden has a summer house and is blessed with lovely country views. There is off road parking for 3 cars. All the amenities of Leek are within easy reach, and the Peak District National Park provides several excellent walks and cycle trails, opportunities for climbing as well as attractive villages to visit. Highfield Cottage makes a wonderfully welcoming base for a family holiday.

The cottage has efficient gas central heating throughout, electric fire in sitting room, gas fire in reading room. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, fridge/freezer, washing machine. TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD player, books/games/DVDs. Fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Stairgate available. Large enclosed garden with lawned area, patio with furniture and summer house. There is private parking space for 3 cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop, tea room and pub 5 minutes' walk. Town centre facilities 1 mile. The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

The market town of Leek is situated on the western side of The Peak District National Park and is surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture - a reminder of the town's prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and there is good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Alton Towers is less than 15 minutes drive away.
