The Old Store is a detached “upside down” cottage in the High Peak village of Hayfield, near to Buxton. The cottage has two double bedrooms (one with an ensuite) and a twin room, which with the addition of a family bathroom makes it suitable for six people. The first floor at this cottage has a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture. On the edge of the Peak District National Park and the start of the Pennine Way, The Old Store is a superb cottage for an outdoor holiday.

The cottage has efficient gas central heating throughout with additional heating from a woodburner in the sitting room. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine in utility. TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, iPod dock, selection of books, games, DVDs and children’s toys. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate available. There is private parking space for 1 car, additional roadside parking available. Lockable bike storage. Lawned garden with gravelled patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 3 minutes' walk. The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

The village of Hayfield is situated on the north western edge of the Peak District National Park. Edale – the start of the Pennine Way - is only a few miles away and the village has a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
