Billy's Bothy is a beautiful 5 star silver and gold award country cottage providing visitors with a quality self catering cottage near the Peak District. Located in a quiet and peaceful rural setting within 10 acres of grounds of our grade II listed farmhouse, 2 miles from the pretty historic market town of Ashbourne.

This lovely cottage is built of old handmade red bricks with an abundance of pine beams and revealed brick walls throughout. The ground floor windows are a pretty feature with elegantly curved arches over old sty openings. This unusual self catering cottage has 2 ground floor double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom all en-suite. The floors have underfloor heating and heated towel rails keeping them snug all year around.

On the first floor are two more double bedrooms one with en-suite shower and the other with an en suite bathroom. The total sleeping capacity is for 10 in actual full size beds.

The lounge has a double quality bed settee, with private entrance to shared en-suite bathroom. Two fold up Z beds can be supplied giving a total sleeping capacity of 10+ 4 + 2 travel cots. An extra 6th ensuite bedroom can be hired which adjoins the cottage, this room also has a TV, cinema screen and sauna.

The main entrance is on the ground floor in the centre of the house with feature stairs leading up to a magnificent galleried kitchen. The oak staircase and oak front door and surround make a wonderful feature to the cottage entrance and can be viewed from almost all rooms within the cottage. The farmhouse style kitchen furnished with hand made pine units with granite worktops is extremely well equipped and a pleasure to use. The spacious lounge with cosy log stove is on the 1st floor and opens out through a magnificent oak framed entrance onto a patio with cottage garden and well stocked orchard. Patio furniture and BBQ are provided for your relaxation and entertainment. The lounge has 4 comfortable quality settees giving ample seating for all guests. A TV with freeview is provided for your enjoyment with Video and DVD, a Hi Fi is also provided .   The dining room is a delight for those intimate meals with friends and family, our large dining table will comfortably seat all guests. The furniture is all hand made in old pine to compliment our period cottage. A high chair is provided. For those of you wanting a little pampering, meals can be arranged on request.

Massage or nail treatments are also available.

Hillside Croft is an exceptional mellow sandstone self catering cottage, nestled quietly amidst 6 acres of beautifully landscaped private gardens and pastureland. Located in the Derbyshire Dales at the edge of the Peak District National Park and just over 1 mile from Carsington Water Sports and visitor centre this delightful cottage is central to all that Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire have to offer.

Our picturesque holiday cottage dated 1709 is listed of Grade II historic interest, pretty leaded lights set in stone mullioned windows, ancient oak beams throughout, revealed stone and timbered walls and cosy log fires set under inglenook fireplaces add to the charm of this beautiful 5 star  silver award cottage

There are 5 comfortable bedrooms, four of which are double and one twin giving sleeping capacity for 10.  Within these rooms are 4 further single beds giving a total sleeping capacity for 14.

We provide 2 travel cots which may be moved around to suit. All bedrooms are furnished to a high standard with hand made antique pine furniture and co-ordinated furnishings. There are quality fitted carpets throughout the cottage giving warmth and luxury.

The Master bedroom is ensuite, with power shower, WC and wash basin. All rooms are airy and spacious with many attractive features and all overlook the beautiful gardens.

Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor a further 3 are on the second floor. The stairs between floors are very shallow making them easily climbed by both children and the elderly. There are 5 or 6 shallow steps between landings with seats between each floor. Two bedrooms have LCD Tv,s with freeview.

A master bathroom located on the 1st floor has a large Victorian style roll topped bath with bath shower mixer. There is a separate walk in power shower, WC, bidet and washbasin. Shaving sockets are provided in both bathrooms. A baby bath, potty and WC stand for children are provided

The cottage lounge is separate to the dining room and both have magnificent oak beamed ceilings and warm log burning stoves. In the lounge are 3 comfortable sofa's for cosy evenings in with friends and family, a TV with teletext, video recorder, DVD and Hi Fi are provided for your entertainment.

Children are most welcome at all of our properties, it is asked that extra care be taken. A high chair is provided. We must emphasize that we are a No Smoking, No Pets establishment within the building.

Both cottages have WiFi in all rooms and small corporate meetings are available with the use of a projector and screen. A whiteboard is also available.

To help you relax we have qualified nail technicians and masseurs, these must be booked in advance. Meals can also be provided again these must be ordered in advance.

Meals are available by arrangement and must be booked in advance. Cakes, flowers and supermarket deliveries can be arranged.

We are now able to offer our guests the opportunity to bring their horse, please ask for details.

A hearing aid device is now available within the lounge for assistance with your enjoyment of TV and music.

Bedding, linen,towels are included. The price is inclusive of heating and electricity. Children are welcome, sorry no pets other than horses and no smoking.

The gardens are lovely stocked with plants and have a BBQ and patio set and storage for cycles. Secure off road car parking at both cottages. Short breaks are available and we are happy to accommodate differing start dates.

Luxury bed and breakfast is also available should you require a shorter stay for smaller numbers of guests.

Both cottages are fully equipped for self catering holidays with Wi Fi, TV's, DVD, Video, Hi fi, full electric cookers, microwave, dishwasher , washer and tumble drier, fridge and freezer, BBQ, full central heating.
