A country cottage in England’s Lake District that has been fully renovated and lovingly furnished. Located in Lowick Green, a quiet hamlet a few miles from Coniston Water, South Woodend is an attractive semi-detached farmhouse cottage. This property sleeps up to 6 people and has a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, another double bedroom and two singles, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also includes a fitted kitchen incorporating a dining area, and a comfortable sitting room with a wood burner that’s perfect for relaxing in front of on a cooler evening. One well behaved pet is welcome to join you on your stay. The pretty front garden contains a bench that takes full advantage of the views of the fells, while a small rear lawned garden provides more outdoor space. There is dedicated off road parking for 2 cars. Two public footpaths begin a few yards down the lane and are just the first of several walking and cycling trails leading into the fells. The glorious Lake Windermere is close by, and Coniston Water offers local water sports activities. The historic Cumbrian market town of Ulverston is just down the road and has an assortment of specialist shops, cosy pubs, traditional markets and cultural attractions. With so much to see and do on your doorstep, South Woodend makes a great holiday base for family or friends.

Lowick Green is a small country hamlet a few miles from Coniston Water and Ulverston. The hamlet has a 14th century pub which serves good food. Further amenities are available in the festival town of Ulverston. Lowick Green has views over the Coniston Old Man, and good walking and cycling are available nearby.
