(1 welcome) A Cumbrian country cottage by the coast. Located in the small hamlet of Kirksanton, close to Mallom in the Lake District, Raceside Cottage is a charming stone built wing of a converted barn. This property can accommodate up to 5 people and has 2 bedrooms: one king-size double and one twin room with a pull out stacker bed as well as a family bathroom. The open-plan living space includes a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a cosy sitting area. Guests have a small private patio area, which is ideal for dining al fresco, and benefit from shared access to the owner’s beautiful mature gardens, great for relaxing in. There is off road parking for 3 cars. The beach is a short walk away, and more hikes will take you along the coast or into the glorious countryside, including the ascent of Black Coombe. Nearby you’ll also find the magnificent fells at Wasdale Head, including Scafell. Raceside Cottage is a great base for an active holiday.

Oil fired central heating with supplemental heating from an electric fire in sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books and games. Fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot and highchair available on request. There is private parking space for 3 cars. Bike storage available. Private patio with furniture and barbecue. Shared lawned area. Two well behaved dogs are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 2.5 miles, pub 2 minutes' walk. Beach 1 mile. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
