Fisherground Lodges are located in the heart of the the beautiful Eskdale valley, the 3 Pine Lodges are set in an acre of ancient orchard with a stream and rafting pool.

The properties share a laundry and games room. The laundry has a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and freezer. The games room has table tennis and a pool table.

We have a play area with climbing frame, monkey bars, climbing net, swings, slide and log walk.

There is free broadband WiFi available.

Each lodge has a lovely big sitting room, with a wood burning stove and Freesat HDTV. The kitchen and dining areas open off this, the kitchen is fully fitted with combination microwave oven, dishwasher, four ring hob, fridge and all the usual utensils and crockery. There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with twin beds and one with a set of adult sized bunks. The bathroom has WC, washbasin and bath/shower. Heating is provided a woodburning stove and electric panel heaters throughout, which keeps the lodge warm whatever the season. An Orange Pay As you Go mobile phone is provided for use during your stay as reception on other networks is poor.

Ideal for walkers, nature lovers, dogs and children, there is space here, freedom, peace and tranquillity. Good pubs nearby serving excellent bar meals.

All the attractions of the Lake District without the crowds. Nearby are Muncaster Castle, Hard Knott Roman fort, historic Whitehaven, etc. But principally Eskdale is about walking, -every type from a riverside stroll to a day's hike up Scafell Pike.

Travel: Main line to Ravenglass, then miniature railway right to the farm

Good places to visit: Windermere, Keswick, Ambleside, Coniston...all the Lake District's many attractions are within an hour's drive.

Annual Events: Eskdale show- last Saturday in September. Boot Beer festival-Thursday 9th June Sunday 12th June 2011

Good places to eat: King George Inn, Brook House Inn, Boot Inn, Bower House Hotel. Woolpack Inn.

Local Sports: Walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, sailing.

Eskdale

Eskdale is a fantastic place with high fells, beautiful rivers with waterfalls and fabulous crystal clear swimming pools. There are a huge variety of walks, several good pubs and lots of things to do, it even has its own minature steam railway and working watermill.
