The accommodation has a spacious feel with large rooms. Because it has an upstairs it feels more like a cottage than an apartment. There is plenty of storage space with enough room for outdoor gear, boots etc. Everything but the twin bedroom is at ground level. The apartment is fully carpeted and tastefully decorated throughout. Outside are places to sit and enjoy the tranqil surroundings with pleasing views down the valley to Muncaster Fell. Parking is provided for two cars within the grounds adjacent to the house.

The accommodation briefly comprises: a separate entrance via a covered porch leading to the hallway, from which are the lounge (bay window, living flame gas fire set in an original marble fireplace,TV,DVD,stereo and video), double bedroom with a wrought iron bed and a triple wardrobe, kitchen (lots of fitted units, dining table, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, auto washer and dryer) and stairs leading up to the twin bedroom. Through the kitchen is another hallway that leads to the bathroom (bath with electric shower over, basin and wc). The countryside: to the east, over Hardnott and Wrynose Passes (England's steepest mountain road), through beautiful Little Langdale, lie the tourist attractions of Ambleside, Coniston, Grasmere and Windermere. Six miles north is Wastwater, England's deepest 'lake', and Wasdale, probably the most dramatic valley in all of Lakesland. A little further north brings you to Ennerdale Valley. South over Birker Fell is the unspoiled Dunnerdale Valley and Coniston Fells.
Although the Apartment sleeps 4, a coach house is also available in the grounds to sleep an additional two people. Please view the website via the link below for more details.

Scafell's mighty rocks, breathtaking views, wonderful walking in the Lakes, ancient Roman remains at Hardnott Fort & Ravenglass Bath-House, nature reserves.
Travel: The Green - 500 m (one of the stations on a narrow gauge railway which connects to the main line at Ravenglass).
Good places to visit: Mucaster castle & owl centre. Dalton wildlife park. Whitehaven.
