Close to Morecambe Bay, we find Cark-in-Cartmel, a quiet attractive village in Cumbria. Situated between the pretty villages of Allithwaite and Cartmel, Cark-in-Cartmel has its own railway station and a number of interesting attractions are nearby.
Half a mile away, the townspeople of Flookburgh hold a Charter Festival every year in June to celebrate the town receiving a royal charter in 1278. Flookburgh also hosts the yearly Cumbria Steam Gathering in July.
