Lingmell House - Lower Gale - Ambleside, Cumbria, England

A superb property, Lingmell House has stunning views of Ambleside and surrounding fells. A  large modern detached house, it is elegantly furnished and equipped to a high standard. Adjacent to the property is a large heated indoor pool (open 7am to 11pm daily) which can be used by guests at the house.

Only a couple of minutes walk from the heart of Ambleside and 10 minutes to the steamboats at Waterhead, Windermere Lake. The house provides an excellent base for touring the Lakes or enjoying walks from the doorstep.

The entrance hall has a toilet and cloakroom. This leads to the kitchen, lounge, dining room and main bedroom which benefits from a large balcony. The split level design of the house has a staircase to the ground floor which houses two further bedrooms and a second bathroom.

The house is equipped with widescreen TV with all inclusive Sky, movies, Disney and sports channels, VCR, and CD. The custom designed kitchen is equipped with Gaggeneau appliances, cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer. The 14ft garage ensures discreet parking, more space available. Cot, high chair available at no extra charge,these are stored at the property. Washer and separate dryer provided on site in Lingmell laundry downstairs no coin meters!

Guests will receive keys directly from the owner before the visit. Keys are posted back to the owner after departure. Large double garage provided for all visitors, also pleasant garden accessed via patio on ground floor.

The attractions of the Lake District are well known, the amzing scenery and lakeside activities. Endlessly popular with tourists, the Lake District offers visitor attractions, tea shops galore and a lengthy list of things to do such as boat trips, guided tours and walks, musical evenings, theatre, museums and much more. Visit the towns and villages in the Lake District such as Grasmere with its cobbled streets, Skelwith, Rydel, Elterwater, Windermere, Troutbeck Bridge for a flavour of the Lakes. Coniston is also within easy driving distance.

Good places to visit: Keswick, Morecombe Bay or the Cumbrian coast.

Annual Events: There is an annual programme of events in the Lake District organised by local businesses and organisations.
