The coastal village of St. Agnes is a pretty village to visit. There are a couple of car parks near the beach fairly close to each other. There is a steep incline downhill to the water, passing the RNLI shop and office. Overlooking the beach are the colourful Jubilee Gardens where there are benches for holidaymakers to sit and take in the sea views. The beach in front of the gardens is small with strong Atlantic waves and ideal for surfing. A surf school and hire shop provides the main activity. A sign warns people about the crumbling unstable cliffs. St Agnes does not have a suitable beach for families with young children, there are other beaches near St Agnes such as Trevaunance Cove 2 miles north and Chapel Porth, both sandy beaches but again best suited to surfing. There are many other family friendly sandy beaches a little further along the north Cornwall coast such as Perranporth and Crantock.

For anyone wishing to visit a former tin mine, of which there are literally dozens in Cornwall, the Blue Hills Tin Streams, a miles north east out of the village provides information about tin and tin products. Places to visit indoors can be useful for wet days. Hopefully the sun will shine on each and every day of your holiday.
