Holiday makers sometimes bemoan the journey to Cornwall, however, with improved roads and a location near the Devon Border, a stay at this cottage removes all travel obstacles. Launceston is nearer the north Cornwall coast rather than the south although everywhere in Cornwall is possible for a day trip. Relax on Cornwall's beaches, try your hand at surfing or watching all the other surfers challenge the waves. The countryside around Lauceston offers peaceful country lanes for strolls. Visit village pubs for meals out and a chat over a pint with the local people.

Launceston is situated on the Devon and Cornwall border and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle which sits high above the town. Launceston also offers wonderful architecture including exquisite Georgian buildings. Just three miles away is the Tamar Otter Park and taking a trip on the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5 mile round trip is essential. Other places to visit are the stunning Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and with delightful seaside towns nearby, Launceston is a perfect base all year round.
