The Anchorage - Falmouth,

Our fabulous waterfront country house has a 200ft frontage to the Port Navas Creek an arm of the beautiful Helford River tidal estuary on Cornwall’s, Mediterranean-like, south coast. It has its own Private Shingle Beach, Quay and Slipway and lies within a nationally renowned Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This gorgeous, exclusive, creek-side haven is exquisitely situated down a quiet, private (no though road) lane and is set in its own 2 acres of magical, sub-tropical gardens and woodland. The magnificent, slate-flagged, west facing terrace has glorious views of the creek and the wooded hills beyond and is beautifully positioned to catch the warm afternoon sunshine and romantic sunsets.

The beautiful country house features over 5000 square feet of spacious accomodation and can be arranged to sleep up to 27 adults and children. There are 10 Bedrooms (including 4 Large Master Suites each with an en-suite bathroom, super king-size bed and a double sofa-bed), 6 Bathrooms, a large lounge and sunroom, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a Pool and Spa Room and a delightful Games Room with a snooker/pool table and an Xbox 360 games console. There is full oil-fired central heating to radiators, a log burning fireplace and a 40 inch High Definition LCD TV with Sky+, Movies and Sports in the lounge, TVs in all of the bedrooms, 2 DVD/CD players and complimentary wireless Broadband Internet access. For summer, alfresco dining there is a large outdoor table and chairs and a gas-fired barbeque and grill. Adjacent to the house approached down our sweeping driveway, is a double garage and there is parking for 7 cars.

The superb, Private Heated Indoor, ‘State of the Art’, Jetted Swimming Pool and Spa is invitingly positioned in the air-conditioned pool room overlooking the creek and there are also opulent 14 jet, Jacuzzi-style, circular Whirlpool Baths in two of the master en-suite bathrooms. Use of a challenging 18-hole Golf Course and Tennis Courts are available (chargeable) at the adjacent hotel and the Fine Sandy Beach at Helford Passage is an easy walk away. Between Easter and the end of October, Complimentary use of one 14ft, 6 person Motor Boat is provided for the duration of your stay or you can, of course, bring your own boat or jet-ski and moor it to our quay. Explore the wonderful, Helford River tidal estuary or cruise for lunch or dinner at one of the chic, creek-side restaurants and pubs or simply just ‘mess about on the river’.

Children of all ages are very welcome and will delight in playing on the private shingle beach, the extensive lawns and the woodland - all well away from public roads. The indoor pool, spa and the games room are an ideal alternative and the whole estate has enough variety to keep children happy for many hours. With the ground floor containing 2 en-suite bedrooms, 3 further bedrooms and a separate family bathroom, the estate is an ideal holiday venue for the disabled and people with limited mobility.

This is our family's much loved private holiday home, we are not travel agents or tour operators and are proud to give personal, attentive service to our guests. We have put a lot of thought and work into making our vacation country house as sumptuous and as comfortable as possible and we do hope that you will decide to stay. Please do note that the estate is never rented on a split basis and your reservation guarantees full, exclusive use of the whole estate, house, pool, spa and facilities. All guests are supplied in advance with a copy of our detailed ‘Book of the House’ containing comprehensive information and advice to make your holiday even more enjoyable. Additionally, we welcome you with fresh flowers  on arrival.
